Is the SpeakJet Shield UNO Compatible?

With the announcement earlier this week about the release of the Arduino UNO; it is probably inevitable I will soon get questions about my SpeakJet Shield TTS/Basic shields being compatible with it. The Uno uses a new boot-loader and a new IC for USB communication; but the Arduino team has done their best to insure compatibility with older Arduino's and 3rd-party shields such as mine.

In brief, the good news is that my SpeakJet Shield TTS/Basic should work fine with the Uno, and as a bonus, you will have a bit more programming space for your sketches as well! LadyAda at AdaFruit Industries has some great information about the Uno and its compatibility on her Arduino UNO FAQ page...

More information about the Arduino Uno itself can be found on the official Arduino Uno page on the Arduino web site.

If you have my SpeakJet Shield TTS and an UNO - I would love to get an email from you describing your experience...
